Upham Hall Replace AHU Components

The project involves replacing components of four built-up air handling units in the west side of the Upham Hall building at Miami University. The components to be replaced include chilled water coils, supply fan motors, and return fan motors. The project also involves converting existing pneumatic controls to DDC controls. The contractor will be required to work on the air handling units on the ground floor, as well as on the first, second, and third floors. The project schedule is mandatory and based on actual use dates by the academic departments owning the spaces. Key aspects of the project include: • Replacing chilled water coils, supply fan motors, and return fan motors • Converting existing pneumatic controls to DDC controls • Working on air handling units on multiple floors • Meeting a mandatory project schedule • Maintaining system continuity by using Siemens as a sub-contractor
