Description
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive wastewater treatment operations and maintenance services for eleven (11) school facilities throughout the county. The contract is a one‑year base period with four optional one‑year renewals, and the vendor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, licensing, insurance, and supervision needed to operate domestic water treatment plants, storage tanks, pump houses, and distribution systems on an as‑needed basis as directed by the Risk Manager. Bids are sealed and must be received by August 25, 2026 3 PM. Questions are due by August 10, 2026 3 PM. The award may be split among multiple contractors at CCPS’s discretion.
• Scope includes operation, routine maintenance, emergency repairs, chemical procurement (provided by CCPS), weekly monitoring, quarterly pigging/cleaning, and annual testing of wastewater facilities.
• Service area covers 11 schools and educational centers across La Plata, MD and surrounding communities.
• Vendor must hold all required licenses, insurance, and provide a performance bond for projects ≥ $100,000.
• Contract price must be fully burdened (labor, overhead, profit) and fixed for the base year; renewals limited to CPI‑U adjustments.
• Warranty period of 2 years after acceptance; net‑30 payment terms; electronic ACH/VEPS payment options.
• Pre‑bid conference and site visits are available on request; no mandatory attendance.
