Cisco Network Equipment Brand Name Special Notice

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District intends to solicit a firm-fixed price construction contract to replace the Navigation Lock Switchgear at Lower Granite Dam. The contract will involve replacing existing medium and low voltage switchgear lineups and their associated feeder cables with modernized medium and low voltage switchgear and motor control center lineups. The brand name purchase of Cisco network devices that meet USACE cyber security requirements and integrate into operations and maintenance procedures is also part of the procurement. • The Government is seeking information from responsible sources who can provide a solution that is fully and seamlessly interoperable with the existing Cisco infrastructure at Lower Granite Lock and Dam. • Interested parties must provide a statement of capability with clear and convincing evidence that their proposed alternative components can meet the comprehensive functionality, programming versatility, and robust physical requirements of the specified Cisco equipment. • The proposed alternative must integrate with the existing Cisco Systems without loss of efficiency, introducing system complexity, or requiring additional specialized training for operators.
