Micro-Uncrewed (UxS) Systems for Dangerous Vessel Compartment Inspections

The United States Coast Guard is conducting a market research effort to determine the availability and capability of vendors to provide Micro-Uncrewed Systems (Micro-UxS) for the inspection of dangerous vessel compartments. The systems should be capable of flying, crawling, and being submerged inside a vessel's confined spaces, and carrying inspection tool payloads to assist USCG surveyors/inspectors. The RFI requests detailed information on micro-UxS, including system description, operational concept, technology readiness level, and cost. • The micro-UxS should be able to operate in accordance with the guidance for Remote Inspection Technologies specified by the American Bureau of Shipping. • The systems should be capable of performing in difficult-to-access locations within a vessel's internal structure. • Responders should provide information on the system's size, weight, power, and other pertinent technical specifications. • The RFI also requests information on the system's mobility, transportability, navigation, and autonomous operation capability.
