The City of Natchez, Mississippi will receive bids for the Merrio Street Bank Stabilization,no later than 2:00 P.M. local time, on January 22, 2026, in the office of the City Clerk, 124 South Pearl Street, Natchez, MS 39120 at which time said bids will be publicly opened, read aloud and thereafter taken under advisement until the next meeting of the Natchez Mayor and Board of Alderman.The work shall consist of the construction of bank stabilization to protect a public street and sanitary sewer lift station including clearing and grubbing, earthwork, grouted riprap, and grassing. The scope of work is more thoroughly prepared in the contract drawings.The City of Natchez will utilize monies received from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program.The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the date of the actual bid opening without consent of the City of Natchez.Work to be performed shall be in accordance with the current Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction, unless otherwise noted in these specifications.Bids for this work will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom the Contract Documents and Addenda, if any, have been issued by the Engineer. Bids received by bidders to whom the Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened.State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state’s current law pertaining to such state’s treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid.
