Specialty Crop Block Grant Program Farm Bill 2025

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), is requesting applications for the fiscal year 2025 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) to award grants to eligible State departments of agriculture to carry out projects that enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops. The program assists State departments of agriculture in enhancing the competitiveness of specialty crops by leveraging efforts to market and promote specialty crops, assisting producers with research and development, expanding availability and access to specialty crops, and addressing local, regional, and national challenges confronting specialty crop producers. * Eligible applicants are State departments of agriculture in the 50 States, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. * The available funding for the SCBGP in 2025 is approximately $72.9 million. * The award period is 3 years, starting on September 30, 2025, and ending on September 29, 2028. * Applicants must submit their applications electronically through Grants.gov by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on July 7, 2025.
