Description
The City of Salem is seeking bids for overhead door alterations and repairs at Salem Fire Station No. 2. The project includes selective demolition, masonry work, carpentry, caulking and sealants, painting, and installation of new decorative metal bollards. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining temporary shoring, bracing, and support during the project. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
• The project requires a pre-bid meeting on February 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
• The bid submission deadline is February 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
• The project is expected to start on April 1, 2026, and reach substantial completion by June 29, 2026.
• The contractor must have a Certificate of Eligibility for General Construction work from the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM).
• The contractor must comply with Massachusetts prevailing wage rates and regulations.
