Description
The Santa Monica‑Malibu Unified School District is seeking a qualified, C‑10‑licensed electrical contractor to provide district‑wide preventative maintenance, testing, inspection, and repair of high‑voltage switchgear (including ATS units and transformers) at all district facilities. Work will be performed year‑round, must adhere to NETA specifications, and include detailed service reporting. The contract is a one‑year term (July 1 2026 – June 30 2027) with possible annual renewals.
• Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical testing (insulation resistance, contact resistance, timing, thermal imaging) on all high‑voltage switchgear assemblies.
• Service Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and both oil‑filled and dry‑type transformers; provide repairs and emergency response (≤ 4 hrs for standard failures, ≤ 1 hr for life‑safety outages).
• Supply all labor, materials, tools, and documentation; comply with OSHA, NFPA 70E/70B, and prevailing‑wage requirements; maintain required insurance and certifications.
