26/27-053 Fire Extinguishers and Service

This Invitation to Bid (ITB) seeks suppliers to provide a comprehensive range of fire safety equipment and related services to the Nassau Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) and its participating school districts throughout New York State. The scope includes the purchase of various fire extinguishers (ABC, CO₂, water, Halotron, etc.) in multiple sizes, the supply of replacement parts and refill cartridges, routine inspection, testing, hydrostatic testing, tag‑and‑inspect services, and periodic maintenance (including a six‑year recertification cycle). Bidders must also be able to perform on‑site inspections of installed fire suppression systems (Ansul, Pyro‑Chem, Range Guard, Kidde, Amerex, etc.) at numerous schools, providing fee‑per‑inspection services. All vendors must certify compliance with New York prevailing‑wage rules, the Iran Divestment Act, and must carry the required insurance and warranties. • Provide new fire extinguishers (2.5 gal, 5 lb, 10 lb, 20 lb, 30 lb, etc.) and specialized extinguishers for kitchen fire‑suppression systems. • Supply refill cartridges and recharge services for ABC, CO₂, and water extinguishers of various capacities. • Deliver fire‑extinguisher parts (valves, gauges, hoses, bands, horns, O‑rings, etc.). • Perform hydrostatic testing, tagging, inspection, and six‑year recertification for all extinguishers. • Conduct fee‑per‑inspection services for installed fire‑suppression systems across multiple school facilities. • Comply with NYS Department of Labor prevailing‑wage registration, insurance, and non‑collusion certifications.
