Description
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is seeking bids to establish a blanket purchase order for the procurement of liquid sweetener, saccharin sugar substitute concentrate. The contract will be for a term of approximately 4 months, from the date of award through August 31, 2026. The successful bidder will be required to deliver the product to the TDCJ Beeville Distribution Center. The product must meet the requirements of CID A-A-20178C, Type I: Saccharin, Style C: Liquid, Package 5: Bottle. The finished product shall contain 3.8% (+/- 0.3) percent of active ingredient and shall contain adequate preservatives to maintain chemical, physical, and microbiological stability.
• The product must be packaged in a plastic bottle with a dispenser top, with a minimum of 8 oz to 13 oz per bottle.
• The product must be delivered in cases of 12 bottles per case.
• The bidder must provide a unit price for the product, and the award will be made to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder.
• The contractor will be required to comply with TDCJ security procedures when making deliveries to correctional facilities.
