New Carrollton BAS JACE Replacement

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking bids for the replacement of the existing Building Automation System (BAS) supervisory controller at the New Carrollton 4300 Buildings A&B. The selected vendor will provide one JACE 9000 supervisory controller, licensing, and other related services, including device-level configuration, removal of the existing AX JACE, installation of the new device, commissioning, and integration into the Niagara network. Additionally, the vendor will provide training for up to 15 personnel for two days. • The replacement is due to the current JACE controller reaching its end-of-support status, resulting in limited functionality and increased vulnerability to operational failures. • The new controller will provide necessary compatibility, stability, and long-term support for maintaining efficient communication between HVAC equipment and the BAS network. • The scope of work includes device-level configuration, removal and installation of the new device, commissioning, and training. • The WMATA retains the device after installation. • Bidders can submit questions, and the submission deadline is 07/16/2026 02:00 PM EDT.
