Sole Source to The Gleason Works for Gleason KISSsoft MAINTENANCE

The Naval Air Warfare Center Air Division is seeking to renew a maintenance contract for the Gleason KISSsoft gearbox modeling software. The software is used to evaluate fixed wing and rotorcraft geared drive systems, addressing new gearbox designs and fleet reliability issues. The contractor must be an authorized reseller for The Gleason Works and provide a letter of authorization. The contract will be awarded on a sole source basis. Key requirements include the ability to create system-level models of gearboxes, calculate gearbox performance parameters, and perform loaded tooth contact analysis. • Ability to create a system-level model of a gearbox including shafts, bearings, gears, and housing • Calculate gearbox performance parameters for all shaft, bearings, and gears in accordance with AGMA, ISO, DIN, VDI industry standards • Perform Loaded Tooth Contact Analysis (LTCA) internally within the program without the requirement for an external software interface • Average computation times for multi-axis gearboxes which involves Loaded Tooth Contact Analysis of spur, helical, and bevel gear sets to output results in a time not to exceed 5 minutes • Optimization tools to permit gear tooth profile and micro-geometry modifications within the program • Ability to import CMM or other grid measurement data from gear tooth into software for model generation of gear tooth geometry • Ability to represent gearbox models in both 2D and 3D representation and graphically present the results • Ability to report all results and analysis in tabular report format • Able to export model files with shaft and gear geometry via STEP or other standardized format for external FE analysis • Ability to import stiffness matrices into the software from external FE tools to integrate housing influences within a gearbox model • Calculate gear train efficiency and associated losses of modeled gear system • Ability to perform shaft modal analysis of the system by taking stiffness effects within the gearbox model and output torsional and coupled vibrations thru Campbell diagram plots • Calculate and graphically display the deformation of the gear system under load including all displacements and moments about the X, Y, and Z axis • Able to model systems comprised of multiple shafts and gears including multi-stage planetary systems • Include a pre-defined materials library in accordance with industry standards (AGMA, ISO) and allow the import of custom gear, shaft, and bearing materials without the need for third party software
