Construction Manager at Risk - UCM Welcome Center and UTT/Grinstead Facelift

The University of Central Missouri is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the construction of a new Welcome Center and the facelift of the Grinstead and UTT buildings on campus. The project includes the design and construction of a two-story building with gathering spaces, assembly spaces, and dedicated pedestrian pathways. The estimated total cost of the project is $30,000,000. The CMAR will be responsible for construction means and methods, self-performing limited amounts of work, and managing all construction-related contracts. The project requires a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract, and the CMAR must have experience with similar projects, a track record of controlled costs, and a quality product upon completion. Some key features of the project include: • Reflecting UCM's distinctive campus identity and architectural character • Supporting historic campus buildings • Creating a modern student experience inside the space • Addressing parking, traffic flow, and information booth • Storage for people moving carts The CMAR will be selected based on experience, qualifications, past performance, technical competence, cost proposal, and quality, organization, and completeness of the proposal response.
