The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is seeking to buy out the current fleet of HP multi-purpose printers leased from MinBurn under contract HT001521F0070 in support of Fort Polk. The buyout is necessary to maintain patient care and hospital administration capabilities. The agency intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract with MinBurn, the current awardee. The scope of work includes the purchase of 118 HP multi-purpose printers, and the agency estimates that this approach will be the most cost-effective.
• The buyout includes 87 HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M681z printers, 21 HP LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M528c printers, 5 HP LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M635z printers, and 5 HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow MFP M578c printers.
• The agency estimates that the cost of the buyout will be lower than competing the requirement as a lease and annual support or purchasing new printers and support.
• The buyout is part of a two-part approach, with the second part being a competitive action to be competed among SDVOSB offerors on DHA's NASA SEWP Printing Imaging catalog for printer support.
