Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center, Biomedical Engineering Department, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Getinge USA Sales, LLC, for preventative maintenance and services on government-owned Getinge equipment. The contract requires the use of only Getinge parts and adherence to National Fire Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Original Equipment Manufacturer standards. Getinge USA Sales, LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and has certified, trained technicians to ensure the equipment and software are running at full capacity.
• The contract is for preventative maintenance and services on sterilization equipment.
• The equipment is located at the LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI.
• The contract requires compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and OEM standards.
• Getinge USA Sales, LLC is the only firm capable of providing the necessary services without substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable delays.
