Domestic Violence Training and Technical Assistance

This adversitement is to serve as public notice. The New York State Office of Children & Family Services (OCFS) has been approved to do a 5 year contract with The New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Inc (NYSCADV) to provide training and technical assistance to FVPSA funded domestic violence programs in NYS. NYSCADV is the only domestice violence coalition in NYS and has been designated as such by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The purpose of the coalition is to provide eduation, support, and technical assistance to DV service providers to enable providers to establish and maintain shelters and supportive services for victims of domestic violence. They also serve as an information clearinghouse and resource center on domestic violence for the State, supporting the development of polices, protocols, and procedures. As the desiginated DV colaition in the state, NYSCADV is required to be involved in FVPSA grant monitoring.
