Description
The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) is seeking a Registered DSpace Service Provider to provide software upgrades, customizations, and maintenance for its DSpace-based institutional repository, Calhoun. The scope of work includes DSpace upgrades, configuration and dependency management, customizations, delivered and maintained modules, and technical support and monitoring. The contractor will be required to provide a clear plan for lifecycle upgrades, manage application configurations, and execute dependency upgrades and security patching. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing NPS-specific customizations, including data modeling, branding, workflows, selective exports, and the Advanced Replication Task Suite (RTS).
Some key points to note are:
• The contract will be for a base period of 9/15/26 - 9/14/27, with four option periods.
• The contractor will be required to provide weekly status updates and a documentation manual at the successful conclusion of each project.
• The contractor will be responsible for ensuring 99.7% system uptime and responding to critical issues within 6 hours.
• The contractor will be required to comply with security requirements, including obtaining a DoD CAC and completing OPSEC and intelligence training.
