Description
The Bordentown Regional School District is seeking a qualified general contractor to demolish existing chain‑link fencing and tennis courts, restore the site with topsoil and seeding, and provide on‑site management and documentation for a one‑year public‑works project. The contractor must furnish a 10 % bid bond (capped at $20 k), 100 % performance and payment bonds, and a 10 % maintenance bond, and must comply with New Jersey prevailing‑wage and insurance requirements. The work includes daily cleanup, protection of existing vegetation, and delivery of operation & maintenance manuals with training.
• Demolition of chain‑link fence and concrete footings, and removal of 4‑6 in. thick tennis‑court structures.
• Site restoration: placement of 4‑6 in. clean topsoil, grading, and seeding to re‑establish turf.
• Management: on‑site manager (minimum 2 days/week), weekly performance reviews, certified payroll, and full documentation.
• Compliance: NJ Prevailing Wage Act, workers’ compensation, general liability, and required bonding; daily debris removal; warranty and cleanup standards.
