Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to modernize five elevator cars (Cars 6, 7, 10, plus Annex O & G) at NYC Health + Hospitals’ Elmhurst Hospital. The work includes complete demolition of existing elevator equipment, installation of new gear‑less elevator systems, extensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire‑protection, and finish work, as well as testing, commissioning, and warranty support. The project is subject to NYC H+H’s Project Labor Agreement, a 30 % M/WBE participation goal for contracts $500 k+ and strict insurance, bonding, and qualification requirements. Bids must be submitted by 4 / 15 / 2026 10:30 AM, and attendance at the mandatory pre‑bid meeting(s) on March 5‑6 2026 is required.
• Full elevator modernization (gear‑less machines, cab finishes, pit work, control systems).
• Associated MEP upgrades: HVAC, fire‑sprinkler, plumbing, electrical distribution, fire‑alarm, and building‑enclosure improvements.
• Compliance obligations: NYC H+H Project Labor Agreement, 30 % M/WBE goal, $2 M minimum commercial liability, $1 M auto liability, 110 % builders’ risk, and detailed qualification criteria (three prior projects > $4 M each).
