Description
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting bids for the replacement of the existing 8” and 10” cooling tower and bridge bypass water piping at the Convention Center. The project requires the contractor to phase construction in accordance with the Engineer’s drawings and specifications, provide roof protection, drain existing cooling tower and piping, remove existing horizontal condenser water piping, install isolation valves and butterfly valves, and provide crane to remove existing demo material from the roof and set new pipes. The contractor must also provide as-built drawings and a one-year warranty from the date of completion.
• The project has a mandatory pre-bid meeting on May 12, 2026.
• The bid submission deadline is June 11, 2026, by 2:00 p.m.
• The project duration is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
• The contractor must provide a Certificate of Occupancy or Certificate of Completion prior to processing of final payment.
• Liquidated damages will accrue in the amount of $120 per day for failure to achieve certification of Substantial Completion within the Work Order time or approved extension thereof.
