Pest Control Services

The City of Des Moines is soliciting sealed bids from qualified companies for the procurement of pest control services at various City of Des Moines buildings and locations. The service shall include control of rodents, crawling and/or flying insects, but excludes termites and carpenter ants. The contractor will be required to provide a pest control log sheet, keep it up to date, and submit it to the building contact person monthly. The contract term is for three years, with an option for the City to extend for an additional three years. • Key areas that may require service include food preparation, food storage, dining rooms, sleeping quarters, bathrooms, showers, offices, closets, shops, crawl spaces, basements, elevators, loading docks, and any other areas within the building. • The contractor must be licensed in accordance with EPA, Iowa, and Local regulations and have sufficient financial support, equipment, and organization to ensure satisfactory execution of the service. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularities or informalities. • Payment terms and conditions are specified, including a requirement for the contractor to provide insurance and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
