Next Generation Mounted Family of Computer Systems (MFoCS) Request for Information (RFI)

The U.S. Army is conducting market research to gather information on Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) or Non-Developmental Items (NDIs) that can provide a next-generation mounted family of computer systems. The system should be a ruggedized, cyber-hardened family of tactical computing and display systems for ground combat vehicles and command posts. The ideal solution should have next-generation processing technologies, high-definition multi-touch displays, expanded Random Access Memory (RAM), and higher-capacity solid-state storage. Some key requirements for the system include: • Environmental survivability and reliability • Cyber maturity, such as Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS)-140 and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-171 • Ability to handle Sensitive but Unclassified – Encrypted Data (SBU-E) and SECRET data • Compliance with the provided Interface Control Document • Military GPS capability • Size, weight, power, and cooling requirements • Compute performance • Security considerations and capabilities The Army is seeking feedback from industry on potential solutions, and respondents are encouraged to provide information on their company's core business, relevant experience, and key customers.
