Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Comcast Ethernet

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to award a sole source contract to Comcast Business Communications LLC for the renewal service of the existing COMCAST ethernet private line service. This service will support the "last mile" requirement for CPSC and connectivity between two locations in Maryland. The contract will also include the operation and maintenance for the WiFi infrastructure at the CPSC sample storage facility. • The contract is for the renewal of an existing service, not for additional ethernet lines. • The government believes Comcast Business Communications is the sole provider and owner of the last-mile ethernet private line and metro ethernet service used by CPSC. • Any firm that believes it can supply the service may give written notice to the Contract Specialist via email. • Responses will be evaluated, but a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
