Budget estimate

$400,000 – $600,000

The solicitation lists an estimated budget of $500,000 for the complete turnkey delivery of water‑main, fire‑service line, and septic system work. Considering typical contractor mark‑ups, bonding, insurance, and potential change orders, the final contract award is likely to be close to the budget range. Therefore, a reasonable earnings estimate for the winning vendor would be between $400,000 (if the scope is trimmed or competitive pricing pressures are high) and $600,000 (if additional optional items or change orders are incorporated). Factors influencing the final amount include the exact scope finalization, any required contingency, and the contractor’s cost structure.
