Description
The City of Hays, Kansas is inviting sealed bids for the construction engineering services for the construction of water/sewer extensions, abutting street/intersection improvements, and internal infrastructure improvements to a City-owned 90-acre greenfield site, adjacent to Exit 161 in Hays, KS. The project includes part-time inspection services, materials testing, and participation in construction meetings. The bid will be opened on November 18, 2025, at 3:00 pm.
• The project requires inspections to ensure KDHE guidelines are met with regards to sewer line installation
• Inspections ensuring KDOT guidelines and standards are met on applicable items
• Waterline installation inspections and verification of quantities
• Conduct materials testing on concrete, subgrade, and soil materials
• Participate in construction meetings as applicable
• Review and approve shop drawings as applicable
• Develop contractor pay applications
• SWPPP inspections
• Stormwater detention pond certification
• Submit daily logs related to field inspections
