Description
The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking capabilities statements from potential sources for the installation and upfit of intercom systems on eleven fire apparatuses at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The scope of work includes the removal of old intercom systems, procurement and installation of new 4-position intercom systems, and integration with existing mobile two-way radios. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete the work.
• The work shall be performed on-site at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
• The contractor must coordinate the installation schedule with the Fire Chief or designated POC to ensure adequate emergency response coverage is maintained at all times.
• The contractor shall conduct a joint functionality test with the Government POC to demonstrate clear internal communication, verification of the Crew Chief position's ability to transmit and receive clearly over the Motorola APX 6500 mobile radio, and verification of the wireless driver headset range.
