Maryland Community Investment Venture Fund

The Maryland Community Investment Venture Fund (MCIV Fund) is seeking grant proposals from financial institutions and fintech companies to develop and implement innovative products and services to better serve the financial services needs of low- to moderate-income (LMI) businesses in Maryland. The MCIV Fund aims to support collaborations between financial institutions and fintechs to address the challenges faced by LMI businesses in accessing financial services. The grant will support projects that use innovative technologies and processes to enable financial institutions to better serve LMI businesses. • The grant will be awarded for a period of up to 2 years. • The grant amount will not exceed $50,000. • The project must demonstrate the ability to assist financial institutions in better serving the needs of LMI businesses. • The project must be completed within the grant period. • The grant recipient will be responsible for managing the grant and providing progress reports to the Commissioner. • The grant will be evaluated based on its potential for success, past record of success, level of current development, and focus of the project.
