Deepwater Terminal Road Extension

The City of Richmond is soliciting bids for the Deepwater Terminal Road Extension project. The project involves extending the roadway by approximately 0.7 miles from its current terminus north to Goodes Street. The work includes extending the road, shoulder, ditches, and curbs, installing lighting infrastructure, improving drainage, and all associated work items. The project is expected to take 407 consecutive calendar days to complete. Some key aspects of the project include: • Construction of a new roadway corridor across industrial and/or undeveloped lands • Removal and stockpiling of abandoned rail lines • Installation of new concrete curb, curb and gutter, and retaining wall • Installation of new guardrail, handrail, and fencing • Installation and relocation of traffic signs, markings • Excavation and removal of existing concrete, earth, pavement, and other items • Construction of asphalt pavement • Modification and extension of a reinforced concrete double box culvert • Removal of vegetation/debris from existing corridor • Erosion and sediment control, including topsoil and permanent seeding • Maintenance of traffic • Mobilization
