Tires & Tire Repair

The City of Huntsville is soliciting sealed fixed-price bids from qualified vendors for the provision of Tires & Tire Repair as specified in this Invitation for Bid. The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, the supply and delivery of goods, performance of services, or a combination thereof, as outlined in the Contract documents. The contract shall have an initial term of one (1) year from the date of award, with the option to extend for two (2) additional one (1) year terms. The City reserves the right to award contracts to multiple vendors as determined to be in the City’s best interest. Key services include: • Providing new tires and tire services for medium/heavy duty buses, paratransit minibuses, and smaller department service vehicles • Maintaining warranty records of items sold to the City and issuing credits for labor, tires, and supplies covered under warranties • Responding to requests for tire service in a timely manner and performing emergency tire repairs as needed • Providing wheel balancing on all new tires that are mounted and on existing tires that are repaired or require subsequent wheel balancing • Maintaining a personnel roster that identifies each person who will work on the contract and providing the title and function to be performed
