Facilities Security and Communications Technology Enhancements

The City of Shoreline is seeking a consultant to provide design services for implementing security enhancements and communication technology improvements in City facilities. The scope of services includes designing security and technology improvements, updating existing or providing new servers and software, new access control panels and power supplies, intrusion detection and response systems, card readers, site lighting, telecommunication equipment and storage, CAT 6 cabling and outlets, and updated wireless infrastructure. The consultant will be required to provide a statement of qualifications, including experience in designing improvements and developing bid packages for security and technology enhancements in existing occupied facilities. • The consultant will be responsible for developing construction plans, construction cost estimates, specifications, and bidding packages using City templates. • The consultant will be required to identify and develop applications for necessary permits. • The consultant will be responsible for assisting with construction bid evaluations and construction management and inspection, and other services needed to deliver the project. • The consultant will be expected to provide evidence of experience in designing improvements and developing bid packages for security and technology enhancements in existing occupied facilities. • The consultant will be required to describe recent, directly related experience, including the name of the client, description of the work done, address and telephone number, dates of the project, and the name of the project director.
