Description
The City of Laurel is seeking bids for the Van Dusen Road Improvement Project - Phase 1. The project includes the construction of new concrete curb & gutter, concrete sidewalk and ADA ramps, asphalt trail, metal fencing, handrails, signal upgrades, drainage inlet repairs, and asphalt repair work and resurfacing on Van Dusen Road - Phase 1 in the City of Laurel, Maryland. The contractor will be responsible for completing the work within 180 consecutive calendar days after execution of the contract. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Some key features of the project include:
• Construction of new concrete curb & gutter, concrete sidewalk and ADA ramps
• Installation of asphalt trail, metal fencing, and handrails
• Upgrades to signal systems and drainage inlets
• Asphalt repair work and resurfacing
The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each equal to 100% of the amount of the award. The city also requires the contractor to maintain certain insurance coverages, including commercial general liability insurance, business auto liability insurance, and workers' compensation insurance.
