Auction Services

Contra Costa County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide auction services for used vehicles, construction equipment, and other surplus items. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, storing, and auctioning off the items, as well as providing online auction services and advertising the auctions. The contract will be for an initial term of three years, with the possibility of two successive one-year renewals. The contractor must have a minimum of five years of experience providing auction services and must possess the necessary licenses and insurance. • The contractor will be responsible for picking up items from the County's Fleet Service Center within two business days of receiving written notice. • The contractor will store vehicles and equipment prior to the auction date in a secure and protected area. • The contractor will provide online auction services, including listing items on an electronic commerce website. • The contractor will advertise auctions at least once within 15 days of the auction, including newspaper advertisements and direct mailings. • The contractor will provide a recap of sales, including a list of items sold and the selling price. • The contractor will provide receipts for each item sold at auction. • The contractor will comply with all applicable regulations, including those related to diesel engine emissions.
