The City of Calumet City is seeking a single waste‑hauling contractor to provide comprehensive residential solid‑waste collection and disposal services for an estimated 8,979 residential units and various municipal facilities. The contract is exclusive for a three‑year term (January 1 2027 – December 31 2029) with possible one‑year extensions. Services include weekly curbside/alleys collection of municipal waste, one bulk item per household per week, unlimited landscape waste and food‑scrap pickup, provision and maintenance of two 95‑gallon carts per residence, seasonal leaf‑bag collection, Christmas‑tree pickup, and delivery of 130 roll‑off boxes annually. The contractor must also supply specific containers for city buildings at no cost, provide performance bonding, insurance, and monthly operational reporting.
