Description
The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) to provide services for the construction of the Pulse Gondola at Eaglecrest Ski Area. The project involves the installation of a used fixed-grip pulse gondola, sourced from Austria, and the construction of associated infrastructure, including towers, terminals, and access roads. The CMGC will be responsible for providing preconstruction services, including design development, cost estimating, and scheduling, as well as construction management services during the construction phase. The project is expected to be completed over a period of 24 months, with construction taking place primarily during the summer months of 2026 and 2027.
• The CMGC will be responsible for managing the construction process, including subcontractor selection and management, safety management, and quality control.
• The CMGC will also be responsible for providing financial management services, including cost estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• The project will require the CMGC to work closely with the Owner and other stakeholders, including the design team, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
• The CMGC will be expected to provide innovative solutions to project challenges, including constructability issues, scheduling conflicts, and budget constraints.
• The CMGC will be required to demonstrate experience with similar projects, including those involving the construction of gondolas, ski lifts, and other mountain infrastructure.
