Lake Superior State University is seeking a qualified general contractor to design‑build and construct a new 327 sf alumni loft inside the Taffy Abel Arena, including demolition of existing interior spaces, new structural steel framing, concrete slab, mechanical/electrical/plumbing upgrades, interior finishes, and site clean‑up. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, safety plans, references, and required insurance; a 5 % bid bond is required for bids over $50,000. The project must be completed by 1 Sep 2026 with liquidated damages of $500 per day for late completion.
• Demolition of existing arena hallway, coaches office, and lower‑box seating.
• New steel framing, metal deck, concrete floor slab, fire‑rated walls, ADA‑compliant finishes, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
