The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement to the National Council for Preservation Education for the project "NCPE interns at Western Archeological and Conservation Center". The project aims to provide training opportunities to qualified undergraduate and graduate students in academic programs in historic preservation and related disciplines. The interns will work alongside NPS staff in the cultural resources and interpretation fields in different park units and offices throughout the nation. The project will support the NPS mandate of preserving the nation's heritage through work products associated with the training, and it will also support NCPE's goals and additional NPS mandate of improving and developing preservation education.
