Description
The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is seeking a contractor to provide highly purified water for plant maintenance on nuclear-powered ships at NNSY and Naval Station Norfolk (NSN). The contractor will be required to provide demineralizer rigs, operate and maintain them, and provide training to NNSY and NSN personnel. The contract will have a base year and four option years. The contractor must demonstrate understanding of and capability to successfully perform the tasks identified in the Statement of Work (SOW).
Some key points of the contract include:
• Providing demineralizer rigs that meet specific requirements
• Operating and maintaining the rigs
• Providing training to NNSY and NSN personnel
• Ensuring the rigs are safe and meet all regulatory requirements
• Providing a phase-in/phase-out plan for the implementation of the required services
• Identifying all actions necessary for a smooth transition of operational responsibility
