The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is seeking a contractor to provide seismic bracing provisions suitable for the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) to consider for adoption into the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 25. The contractor will conduct a literature review, modeling, and testing of commonly used types of bracing assemblies and provide recommendations for code updates. The contractor must have at least six years of experience in applying knowledge of applicable regulations and building codes on seismic bracing requirements of mobile homes, lab/field testing and analysis of bracing assembly, soil, and soil anchor, and pre-standard, standard, or code development. • The contractor will provide a final report with recommendations for code updates. • The contractor will conduct a literature review of the performance of mobile homes before and after June 15th, 1976, and in past earthquakes. • The contractor will provide a detailed proposal, including a staffing plan, resumes of key personnel, and a cost proposal. • The contractor must comply with all requirements and terms of the RFP, including insurance requirements and prevailing wages.
