Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy, and Teaching of the Visually Impaired Services

The City of Norfolk is seeking proposals for speech therapy, occupational therapy/physical therapy, and teaching of the visually impaired services for children who reside in the City on an as-needed basis. The City estimates that fifty to one hundred students will need services each academic year. The services will be provided in educational settings, and the contractor will be required to deliver services in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and all applicable laws and regulations. The contractor will also be required to provide progress reports, service logs, and other documentation as requested by the City and the school division. Key services include: • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) services • Occupational Therapist (OT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), Physical Therapist (PT), and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) services • Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and Orientation & Mobility Specialist (O&M) services The contractor will be required to work 7.5 hours per workday in accordance with the Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) academic calendar.
