Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is soliciting applications to address barriers and facilitators that impede the use or uptake of cancer screening and preventive services in populations that experience health disparities. Interventions should include screening, preventive services, or other healthcare processes, and should address barriers and facilitators at two or more levels: patient, clinician, healthcare setting, and neighborhood/community. • The NIH is looking for applications that leverage collaborations with community partners and service providers. • The interventions should include timely follow-up of abnormal findings and referral to accessible care. • The NIH is interested in applications that address specific research interests of participating NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices. • The applications should include a plan for evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention.

$1,000,000 – $2,500,000

The budget for this grant is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the NIH's typical grant funding ranges, it is possible that the award could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000 per year, for a project duration of 2-5 years. The total budget could be around $1 million to $2.5 million. This is a rough estimate and the actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the project and the NIH's funding priorities.
