MAINTENANCE OF MTDS

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified contractor to provide inspection, cleaning, and maintenance services for its fleet of storm‑water treatment devices (Manufactured Treatment Devices – MTDs) across the state. The work includes annual inspections, sediment level assessments, cleaning when storage capacity exceeds 75 %, documentation, and traffic‑control compliance. The contract is a fixed‑price, one‑year initial term with up to two optional one‑year renewals. • Perform annual inspections (Sept‑Dec) of ~112 MTDs and determine sediment buildup. • Clean and maintain devices that exceed the 75 % sediment threshold, including debris removal, component cleaning, and functional verification. • Submit detailed worksheets, photographs, and reports within two weeks of each service; provide all required traffic‑control and safety measures per MUTCD, OSHA, and SCDOT guidelines.
