J--NOI to Sole Source M/G Lifecyle Replacement

The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) intends to solicit and negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract with Denver Electric Motor for the evaluation, disassembly, testing, overhaul, and laser alignment of three identical Miniature Power System (MPS) Motor-Generator (MG) Sets. The work includes turn/undercut of armature commutators, commutator brush replacement, bearing replacement, steam cleaning/baking of stators, armatures, rotors, and post-installation vibration analysis. • The contract is for a firm-fixed-price structure. • Denver Electric Motor is uniquely qualified to perform this work due to their specialized familiarity with WAPA EPTC’s specific MPS and MG Set applications. • The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but all responsible sources may submit a quotation, bid, or proposal. • Capability statements or quotes must be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist within 10 days from the publication date of the notice.
