Grandstand and Stadium Seating

The Keystone Purchasing Network (KPN) is seeking bids for the provision of grandstands, stadium seating, press boxes, and related products and services. The bid is for an indefinite quantity catalog bid, and KPN seeks to establish a discount contract that can be availed by its membership on an as-needed basis. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option for renewal. Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in providing the requested services, products, and materials to schools, colleges, and universities, and public agencies. The bid requires that bidders provide a marketing plan, pricing, and warranty information, among other things. The following are some key points about the job and scope of work: • The contract is for the provision of grandstands, stadium seating, press boxes, and related products and services. • The bid is for an indefinite quantity catalog bid. • The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option for renewal. • Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in providing the requested services, products, and materials to schools, colleges, and universities, and public agencies. • The bid requires that bidders provide a marketing plan, pricing, and warranty information, among other things. • The contract requires that bidders provide installation services, as well as products. • The contract is subject to prevailing wage laws, and bidders must submit the E-Verify document required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. • Bidders must be able to meet all local, state, and federal codes and regulations that govern the construction of stadiums, sports facilities, grandstands, and outdoor bleacher seating. • The contract requires that bidders provide a list of at least 15 similar projects that may be reviewed by KPN at the bidder's expense. • The bid requires that bidders provide a certificate of product liability insurance in the minimum amount of $2,000,000.00. • The contract requires that bidders provide a warranty for a period of three years after project completion against defective materials, and an additional three-year warranty on the workmanship of installation. • The contract requires that bidders provide all products and services related to permanent, outdoor sports complex seating, including bleachers, grandstands, VIP seating, and press boxes, for all varieties of sports arenas. • The contract requires that bidders provide design, consultation, and estimation services free of charge. • The contract requires that bidders provide custom lay-outs and sizes of grandstands and permanent bleachers, as requested by the purchasing member, to accommodate all styles of sports complexes. • The contract requires that bidders provide seating in all configurations that are requested in the Part II-A I-Beam Seating and Part II-B Angle Frame Seating. • The contract requires that bidders provide chain link or vertical picket style guard rails and fencing, as requested, in aluminum or galvanized material, design and strength compliant with ADA regulations. • The contract requires that bidders provide prefabricated press boxes, in standard modular sizes or customized sizes, that are pre-wired, with a choice of vinyl or aluminum siding, in a choice of colors, security shutters, and a wide variety of interior finishing choices. • The contract requires that bidders provide soil testing and topographical analysis for the site, as requested, and recommend the appropriate anchoring system. • The contract requires that bidders provide all designs and completed products that are ADA compliant. • The contract requires that bidders provide wheelchair spaces with adjacent companion seating. • The contract requires that bidders determine all applicable codes, determine their impact on the project, and obtain required permits for installation. • The contract requires that bidders provide a certificate of compliance issued by AISC. • The contract requires that bidders provide all installers who are factory-trained and experienced in the construction of permanent bleachers and grandstands. • The contract requires that bidders provide all welders who are AWS certified. • The contract requires that bidders provide all workers who are subject to background checks for criminal histories and child abuse charges and subject to verification of eligibility to work under the Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify program. • The contract requires that bidders provide sales staff and customer service representatives available to purchasing member agencies in all states. • The contract requires that bidders provide toll-free service numbers staffed during regular business hours. • The contract requires that bidders provide proposed pricing based on online item pricing for the configurations and options that are listed in the Pricing Spreadsheets. • The contract requires that bidders provide warranty information and incidental charges and fees on additional sheets in the Excel pricing document. • The contract requires that bidders provide PDF documents of the most recent catalogs or price lists of products and services offered under the bid.
