The Miami‑Dade Fire Rescue is rebidding Phase 2 of its Station 83 expansion, which includes installing new insulated roof canopies, a gym container, a bunker‑gear container, an EMS container, new gable canvas awnings, HVAC, electrical, low‑voltage, and an access‑control card‑reader system, along with associated site work such as asphalt removal, concrete slab pours, and parking‑lot striping. The contractor must supply new (never‑used) steel containers, perform all necessary structural, mechanical, and electrical installations, and provide required warranties, bonds, and safety compliance.
• Structural work: cut/replace asphalt, pour 6‑in. V.I.F. reinforced concrete slabs, install three insulated roof canopies, a canvas awning, and three high‑cube container units (gym, gear, EMS).
• Mechanical/Electrical: install HVAC units on steel angles, run new 1‑in. conduit, complete low‑voltage wiring, and integrate a Genetec Mercury card‑reader access‑control system.
• Ancillary tasks: FDOT parking‑lot thermoplastic striping, termite treatment, compaction testing, paint‑matching, debris removal, and provision of portable toilets.
