Modular Transit Case Solutions for Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) Capabilities

The U.S. Army is seeking information from industry to assist with the development and planning of a potential new requirement for modular transit case solutions that can house Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) tactical communication and computing equipment. The solutions should be modular, dismountable, and ruggedized, and should support expeditionary and distributed mission requirements. The scope of this effort encompasses the design, fabrication, and integration capability for modular transit cases that can securely house and protect NGC2 equipment during transport and operation. Key characteristics of the transit case solutions include: • External dimensions compliant with Standardized A-Kit / Vehicle Envelope (SAVE) space and airline carry-on constraints • Removable lids, panels, and handle placement • One-person lift • Internal mounting to enable components to be quickly removed and replaced • Tool-less removal from SAVE space • Tool-less secure stacking • Built-in power distribution for AC and DC inputs/outputs, conditioning and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) • Patch panels • Active cooling The Government intends to use the information collected to inform requirement definition, assess market maturity, identify technical and integration risks, and shape an acquisition strategy.
