Description
The Argonne National Laboratory is seeking information from academia, industry, nonprofit organizations, and other interested parties regarding opportunities to participate in the development and use of a National Genesis Mission Supercomputing Center of Innovation. The center will include AI supercomputing resources and be located on Argonne property. The laboratory is interested in receiving input on two areas: computing and infrastructure capabilities, and use, co-funding, and partnership interest.
Some key points to consider include:
• The center will be the world's largest AI computing resource dedicated to advancing science, engineering, and medicine.
• The initial deployment is expected to require at least $6B of privately financed investment during the first 18 months.
• Argonne is interested in models that leverage substantial private-sector investment.
• The laboratory welcomes responses from a broad range of stakeholders, including universities, industry stakeholders, large businesses, small businesses, and emerging technology firms.
• Respondents may address one or both focus areas, and Argonne encourages concise, specific responses.
