Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking information from capable and interested sources that can provide assisted medical transportation services for eligible VA beneficiaries. The services will include pick-up and drop-off of patients between the Kansas City VAMC and various locations, using safe and properly equipped vehicles operated by qualified drivers and attendants. The contemplated requirement is for a Firm-Fixed-Price Requirements contract with an Economic Price Adjustment provision.
Some key requirements for contractors include:
* Being regularly established in the business of providing non-emergent assisted medical transportation
* Possessing sufficient vehicles, staff, and dispatch capability to meet variable demand
* Complying with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations
* Demonstrating a compliant vehicle fleet and trained staff
* Providing adequate insurance coverage
