Description
The Town of Exeter is seeking qualified contractors to design and construct a new three‑barrel sewer siphon crossing the Squamscott River. The work includes horizontal directional drilling of three 850‑linear‑foot barrels (10‑12 in. diameter), construction of inlet and outlet structures, and rerouting upstream sewer lines. The project is funded through a mix of state revolving‑fund loans, grants, and federal assistance, and requires compliance with federal EEO, MBE/WBE, Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage, and American Iron & Steel requirements.
• Install three new HDD‑drilled siphon barrels (850 LF each, 10‑12 in. diameter).
• Build new inlet and outlet structures and integrate them with existing sewer system.
• Provide required bid security, performance/payment bonds, and adhere to liquidated‑damage provisions ($1,000 per day).
