Eaton Soft Starters

The City of Newport News is seeking bids from qualified firms to furnish Eaton Soft Starters. The purpose of this Request for Quotes (RFQ) is to solicit quotes to furnish/provide Eaton Soft Starters. The City's Waterworks Department will not accept any substitutions. The required product is the Eaton S811+ soft starter with specific catalog number, UPC, and product specifications. • The product must be a soft starter with a specific amperage rating, frame size, and rating. • The product must have special features such as a 30-second ramp or 450% current limit at 50°C, inside-the-delta connection, pump control, and extended ramp functions. • The product must be of the highest quality and free from defects for a minimum period of one year from the date of delivery or installation. The City will make a single award based on the total bid to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. The Bidder shall include all applicable discounts, and the prices quoted shall be the final cost to the City.
