Description
The US Air Force is seeking sources that can provide a Dual Source Laser Engraver (Brand Name or Equal) at Travis AFB, CA. The machine will be used to part mark, trim, and drill 3D printed polymer aircraft parts. The required specifications include a work area of at least 48" x 36", a maximum material thickness of 12.25", and two laser sources: a CO2 laser and a Fiber laser. The system must also include an integrated camera system, software suite, and connectivity options.
Some key features of the required machine include:
• A built-in air assist system
• Air-cooled laser tubes
• A Class 2 laser product
• A minimum of three exhaust ports with a total required ventilation of 735 CFM or greater
• A Basic Customer Care Plan for 1 year
